All of God’s power is in the Holy Spirit, there is no other power in heaven that will come upon man than the Holy Spirit whom God has already sent. Before Jesus ascended back to heaven he said; I will not leave you comfortless…..I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth ( John 14:16-18). According to Acts 2, the Holy Spirit has already come, it is useless to ask God for more power.
Ephesians 1:19 gives us the first level of God’s power which is called dunamis. This power is the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of a Christian. Dunamis is the power that created all things, it is the power that worked all the miracles of God Almighty.
In Luke 10:19, Jesus gave us the second level God’s power, called exusia. This power (exusia) is the delegated authority of God which is released through prayer. He doesn’t want us asking him to change things for us, he has delegated his authority to us so that whatever we bind on earth will also be bound in heaven. In other words the Christian doesn’t need help with the Devil, all he has to do, is to tell Satan where to get off, and he ain't gonna do nothing about it.
The last level of God’s power is called Kratos. This power (Kratos) is released through the Word of God. The Word of God is his final authority over all things, when you stand on it in faith, every situation in your life will bow. It was the Word which Abraham believed and stood on in faith that quickened the dead womb of a 90 year old Sarah. The Word of God is anointed, faith in it will always bring the results, the Word does not fail.
