The School of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus talking about Holy Spirit said; “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things………..” (John 14:26).
The Holy Spirit has a teaching ministry in the life of every believer, and there are two ways in which he fulfills this ministry. The first is when he teaches us the scriptures through revelation, and the second way is when he teaches us by experience.
Today I want to focus on the second method, learning by experience. With this kind of teaching he uses situations, events, circumstances and people to build the character of God in our spirits. There is a man that the Spirit of God must get out of you, and that man must be in the likeness of Christ. It is not enough to be born again, or to be just a Christian, the Father’s plan is to bring us to unity in the faith and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ, until we walk in the fullness of the stature of Christ (Ephesians 4:13).
1. The Class in the Wilderness
After the baptism of Jesus, the first thing that the Holy Spirit did in his life was to lead him to the wilderness. The Bible says when he was in the wilderness, the Devil came against him (Matthew 4:1). In this class God introduces you to Satan, he teaches you how to handle Satan. Every time that the Devil came against Jesus, he responded with “It is written”. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). This is where you learn how to use the Word of God against situations and circumstances. You stand against Satan with the Word and defeat him with the Word. Come what may, you respond with “It is written”, Halleluiah……!
2. The Class of Kingship with limited Authority
The next thing that followed in the life of Jesus after he defeated Satan in the wilderness was a small ministry which began with a small group of people. His ministry started with small cases of healings, small miracles, small crowds, but as he progressed, God increased the anointing in his life and began healing the paralytics, the blind, the lame, and raised the dead. In this class you must first prove yourself faithful with the little that God has entrusted to your hands, once you are faithful he will promote you to the next level. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man (Luke 2:52).
3. The Class of Kingship with full Authority
The next thing that followed in the life of Jesus after he proved himself faithful with the little that the Father had entrusted him with, was global recognition. By now people were coming from all over the world to attend his meetings, crowds would follow him wherever he went, some would sleep outside the gate of a house or place in which Jesus slept. In this stage, the Spirit of God exalts you amongst men, wherever you go, people will follow you like bees following honey. As you remain faithful in this stage, God will keep increasing the anointing in your life, and the more of it, the more the glory people will see in you.
