Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. (Deuteronomy 6:4)
God the Father has a body which looks exactly like a human body, he is not a thing or some power up there. He is a person, he has a mind, emotions and a will. The Father never leaves the throne, he has been seating on it from ages past. He does all his work through the Spirit and the Word.He cannot do anything without the two. We see this principle in Genesis 1, when he created the universe. Everything was created by a spoken Word, (Genesis 1:1-31). The Holy Spirit is the one which works to bring the Word of God to pass. When God speaks, the Spirit brings his Word to pass. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear (Hebrews 11:3).
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit which proceeds from the Father (John 15:26). This means when the Father who is seated in heaven appears in the Earth, it is through his Spirit. The Spirit takes the presence of the Father from the throne room, and brings him to earth, but his image remains seated in the throne room. In human language, we can say, it is his
Ghost. Through the Holy Spirit the Father is able to appear in different places at once. The Father appeared to Moses, Abraham, Jacob, through the Holy Spirit, the Spirit brought his presence to them.
Who is Jesus then? Jesus is the Word incarnate, he is the Word of God who became a human being (John 1:1-14). The Spoken Word became a man, what came out of the mouth of God Almighty, became visible, and took on a human form. The voice that spoke during creation, became Jesus. We do not have 3 Gods, he is one. He appears as the Spirit, the Father, & the Word (Jesus).
