Stay Your Mind On The Word
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. (Isaiah 26:3)
Your spirit man is where thoughts are created into tangible objects, the invisible thoughts are brought forth into the physical world by the law of belief and faith. For God to have things happen in your life, he needs the participation of your thoughts and spirit, likewise the devil needs your participation.
When God looks at our faith, he looks at the core belief of the human spirit, the things absorbed into us by continually meditation of his Word. The Holy Spirit works in us according to the Word of God which has been absorbed into us. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20).
The Word of God in Bible has no power unless it gets into your spirit, yes, the scriptures are true, but the Holy Spirit works with the Word of God in your spirit, not in the Bible. A Christian can die of sickness whilst the Bible said, “by his stripes you were healed” simply because that Word of God in the bible is not the reality in his/her spirit. Through continually meditation of these words, “by his stripes you were healed”, the reality of these words will be absorbed into that person, and healing will result.
When your mind is stayed on God and his Word, your thoughts will go the direction of heaven and your spirit man will take the shape and character of the Word and faith which is pure, faith which the Bible talks about, faith which the Spirit of God can work with, will be born in your spirit. Faith comes by hearing Word and hearing by the Word (Romans 10:17).
Satan is fighting to gain control over your thoughts, he knows that, the situations, circumstances and events in your life are created in the spirit world and for him to gain control over the happenings of your life, it must be through your mind and spirit. He will use lying vanities, suggest negative thoughts and deceptive information, to try and lure your thoughts and imaginations his direction. This is why it is important to keep studying the Word of God, not once or twice, but every day. If you don’t have time for the Word, Satan will destroy you.
