Just as the Spirit of God has a Ministry in the life of the believer, the Word of God also has a ministry in our lives. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one (1 John 5:7). God the Father does everything he does with the Word, and the Spirit. The Spirit of God, only responds to the Word, where the Word is uttered, the Spirit gets into action. The Father cannot work without the Word, the Lord Jesus also cannot work without the Word, so the Word cannot be separated from God.
The Bible says, without faith it is impossible to please God.....(Hebrews 11:6), this meaning that to get a response from him or to get an answer from him is through faith. To have faith means to first of all believe the Word of God, secondly to take him at his Word regardless of what you see in the natural environment, thirdly to stand on the Word even though it seems like the opposite of what is written is happening, and lastly to have what is written manifested in your life by faith in his Word. So the result comes by faith in the Word, and the miracle worked by the Spirit of God in your life because of your faith in the Word.
4 key Areas on which the Word of God must fulfill his Ministry
1. The Ministry of the word to Your Spirit.
When we come into Christ, God's purpose is to have each of us fully grown in the things of the Spirit. Spiritual growth is like the growth of a newborn baby that has to go through several stages before coming to adulthood. 1 Peter 2:2 says, As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. whatever you feed on goes into your body, and becomes a part of your system. It’s the same thing with God’s Word in your spirit.When you “eat” the Word, through study and meditation, the Word goes into your system and becomes one with your spirit! You become the “Word” that you eat. Your Spirit will therefore take the character of the Word, which is the character of God, his wisdom, knowledge and understanding will take over your being. That “Word” becomes an inside force—an energy—that propels you to act accordingly. The Word of God wasn't given to us just to reveal some things to us about God; the Word of God was given to us to feed on and live by. It’s essential that your spirit grows unto maturity, for that’s the only way you’re guaranteed to live a successful life. Success is beyond buying a car, owning a house or an estate, giving birth to a child, passing your exams, or landing a good job. True success is when you’re living in God’s perfect will for your life. And only those who have grown spiritually through the Word are able to discern the perfect will of God.
2. The Ministry of the Word to Your Mind
Man’s behavior will be peculiar to the culture he was raised in, God’s plan is that we should meditate on the Word, until it becomes part of our thinking, and gives us the culture of heaven, such that everyone will relate with us or know us according to our heavenly culture. The Word of God gives us kingdom culture, it makes us see everything through the Word, to understand through the Word and to live through the Word. Your mentality and reasoning is very important to God, always God wants to do something to your mind. If God cannot change your way of thinking with his word, your life will not change. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind........(Romans 12:2).
3. The Ministry of the Word to Your Body.
The More you meditate on the Word of God, and continually give yourself to it, a transfiguration will take place on your physical body. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18). The Word will start to penetrate deep into your body, affecting your bones, blood, and flesh. When this happens, your body will take the shape of the Word, this means the life of the Word which is the life of God, will replace the natural human life of that body. . Automatically no sickness or disease can stay on that body, because of the word. The Word of God carries in itself divine health, My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. (Proverbs 4:20-22).
4. The Ministry of the Word to the circumstances around you.
When your spirit, mind, and body are united in the Word, everything around you will start to be affected. What is happening in you, will start affecting what is happening around you. The Word of God will begin to manifest in your life what it talks about, the life of the Word will affect all circumstances, situations and events in your life. Your Business, Money, Properties, will start shine with the glory of the word, which is the glory of god.
