Somewhere in 2009, I had an experience, whether I was dead or alive only God knows. This is like one of those things Paul called; …..whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows…..(2 Corinthians 12:4). On this experience, I remember I was standing on a very long queue, and there were a lot of people on that queue, I could not see where the queue started or ended, because we were so many. This place had what seemed like rough roads, and it was a very rough place by itself. Whilst on the queue, I kept complaining that it was taking too long to get to the front. I wanted to get to the front of the queue, the funny part is that I did not even know what was happening at the front. In less than a minute, I had made it to that front, that’s how fast things are in eternity. To my surprise, there stood two horrible looking creatures before my eyes, they were standing at the gate of what seemed to be like a very deep pit. They held both my hand and began pulling me into the pit, I fought with all my strength, but they were too strong for me. When I looked inside the pit, I saw fire and darkness. At that moment I knew I was at the gate of hell. When you are there, you won’t need anyone to tell you where you are, you will know from within that this is that place called hell.
And those two demons threw me into the pit, and as I began to descend down and down, I knew from within me, that there was no hope for me. I just knew that it was the end of me, brothers and sisters, there is no hope in hell. Once you are in, you are finished. As I descended, I knew I wasn’t coming out, and to My greatest relief, I saw a very bright cross before me, this cross was brighter than the sun. This cross was along side me, as I went down, I looked at that cross, and I knew from my heart of hearts, that this was my only hope of getting out of that place. I knew that if that cross did not help me, no one else could. I knew that my life depended on that cross, and that cross was the only way to escape hell. And suddenly two hands caught me before I could reach the very bottom of the bottom less pit. This hands came from the cross, and they pulled me back up, and I came out of that place. Immediately My eyes opened, and I was in my room. Sitting in my room, I knew what had just happened to me, I knew I had been in hell, and that hell was very real. From that day, I made up my mind to get born again, and I have been following Jesus ever since. To this day, I am still in the Lord, and I have been privilege to see many other visions of heaven, of the rapture of the church, which I cannot discuss here. Those of you who think hell is not real, will find out the hardest way that it is real. Trust me, you do not want to find out that way.
This are some scriptures to prove that the place I had been to is what the Bible calls hell:
1. He opened the bottomless pit, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit. Revelation 9:2
2. Nevertheless you will be thrust down to Sheol, To the recesses of the pit. Isaiah 14:15
3. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, And He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. Psalm 40:2
4. He keeps back his soul from the pit, And his life from passing over into Sheol. Job 33:18
Scriptures that prove hell is real.
1. Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28
2. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. Revelation 20:12-13
3. And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Revelation 20:10
4. "And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name." Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. Revelation 14:9-11
5. "But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. "All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left. Matthew 25:31-33
