Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God There is a difference between praying in the Spirit and praying with the Spirit. To pray in the Spirit means to pray according to the leading of the Holy Spirit and according to his will. This kind of prayer does not come from your mind, it comes from your inward man. It also means to pray in tongues, this is a language of the human spirit which the mind cannot understand. To pray with the Spirit means the Holy Spirit carries out his intercessory ministry through the believer. This means he prays through a man and when this happens no words will be coming out of your mouth, this kind of prayer will be through groaning which cannot be uttered in words. When this happens you must know that the Holy Spirit is praying for you through your body, he is actually praying the perfect will of God for your life. Man does not know what he ought to pray for because he does not know what is good for him. Most of the Prayers people are praying are motivated by their carnal desires. Prayer is not telling God what to do, Prayer is fellowship with the Father and Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. You pray for what he wants for your life, not what you want this way you will be in sync with the plan and purpose of God for your life.
