Imagine going to a funeral, as you walk inside, you notice the flowers, You see the faces of friends and family in sorrow of losing. And you look inside the casket, you suddenly come face to face with yourself. This is your funeral. All these people have come to honor you. As you take a seat and wait for the services to begin, you look at the program in your hand. There are to be four speakers. The first is from your family, the second is your friend, the third from your profession and the last from your church. Now think deeply, What would you like each of these speakers to say about your life? What character would you like them to have seen in you? What contributions, what achievements would you want them to remember ?What difference would you like to have made in their lives? Many people discover true purpose for living in their dying beds, they suddenly realise that the things they were always chasing will be left behind. A dying man does not care about his bank balance, most of them want to be surrounded by their loved ones before they die. The saddest thing that happens with humanity is to discover purpose for living in death, to discover that it was about love for fellow mankind. When great men die, they die having touched and changed lives, and they continue to change lives in their graves. Success with God is not acquirement of material wealth, it is the contribution your life has made to fellow man. The money you are chasing, the career you are chasing, will be worthless before the judgement seat of Christ. True, God knows you need money, but he wants money chasing you, not you chasing it. When you do what he created you to do, you will have money beyond measure, it will find you whenever you are. Do you want people to say he had billions of dollars which he spent on himself and his pets or he his life has impacted nations positively.
