1Corinthians 2:15 But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one. The spiritual man is one who has learned to listen to his spirit for answers, he evaluates and scrutinize everything with his spirit. This man has learned to subject his senses to his spirit, he lives and measures everything from the realm of spirit. He has understood that no fruit exists independently, every fruit came from a tree which came from a root, and to deal with the fruit, he must first deal with root. The carnal man measures life with what he sees in the natural, he responds according to his senses, he looks at how things are going and say this is how they will remain, forgetting that the things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. 2 Corinthians 4:18 for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace The Bible tells a story of Abraham and his cousin Lot, Abraham was a spiritual man, he was led by his spirit, but his nephew was carnal. Every time that Lot followed Abraham, he prospered greatly, his substance increased and multiplied because of Abraham. But there came a time when there was quarrelling between their servants, and it was decided that they should part ways. Abraham asked which portion of the land Lot wanted, and Lot looked with the eyes of his flesh and choose Sodom and Gomorrah. For the first time in his life Lot was making a decision of his own, and he made the wrong one. In the natural, Sodom was a prosperous land, everything was going good, the land was green and fat, but in the realm of spirit it was stinking and its destruction was already decided. The smartest thing Lot should have done, was to ask his Uncle to choose the right spot for him, but instead he used his own judgement and understanding and went for the wrong thing. Well he went to Sodom, and he lost everything that he had in that land, he ended up in a cave. The way you finish matters more than how you began, the race is only won at the finish line.
