Christianity is more than getting born again, going to church and praying for blessings. God has an eternal plan and purpose for every believer. His plan for your life covers beyond this life, there is another world coming after this one and we here to prepare for the next world. Life here is just a classroom, your focus should not be on this life but on the life to come. 1. Justification When one is justified, he is declared right before the Lord; he is pardoned and cleared of any violation. Rom 3:24-25 “being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith". So anyone who gives their lives to God has been justified, meaning they can stand before God without guilt or condemnation not because of their good works but because the blood of Jesus has justified them. When you accept the gospel and believe in Jesus Christ you are immediately declared not guilty, no sin will be charged to your account because someone has already paid. 2. Sanctification The next step after justification is sanctification and this is a continual process that conforms us into the image of the Son of God (1 Cor. 6:11 it first begins, with our justification Romans 8:29). Col. 3:10: “put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him. Sanctification is something you have to work on by yourself, this process includes renewing of your mind with the Word, walking in the Word, subjecting your flesh and thoughts to the Word. Sanctification work is for the soul(mind, will, emotions) it is the transformation of the soulish man to be in oneness with the spirit man. It is thinking(mind), doing (will), and loving(emotions) as God would. 3. Glorification The last step of the Christian life is glorification and this includes bearing the image of the heavenly Father. 1 Cor. 15:49: “And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man. The completion is to be glorified, which is the end result of our salvation- it is future glory of the believer. After you reach the glorification stage you will live forever and ever, and it possible to reach this stage whilst on earth, it happened to Enoch.
