The Battle of Ages.

1. The beginning of the controversy between Jesus and Satan Long ago, there was a meeting in heaven and in the meeting the Father said to the Son, let us make man in our own image. There was one Angel who was too ambitious, thought himself to be equal with God, felt that the Father must consult him in all decision making and he was filled with envy and anger against Jesus, and took it upon himself that the Kingdom of heaven needed a Reformation, which would see him being honoured above Jesus. This Angel conspired with other Angels and they decided to rebel against the Authority of the Son. The Father summoned all the heavenly host and Lucifer brought his case forward, stating that he wanted to be consulted in every decision making, he felt it was not fair that Jesus should be Chief over him and that he himself should be the one in charge of all Angels. And the Father said, since you see yourself greater than Jesus, you and him can fight let’s see who will win and there was war in heaven. Jesus defeated Satan and his angels were cast out of heaven. 2. The battle continued in Earth After Lucifer was expelled from heaven, he was very angry and his target was the very thing which God had created in his image. He went after Adam and Eve, with the hope of getting them to rebel against God, and he was successful in this mission. Because Adam submitted to Satan, it automatically made Satan his god. And Jesus was born, the same one who had cast him out of heaven was now coming for him in the earth, but this time he came as a man. Again the controversy continued until the cross. When Jesus died, Satan thought he had finally defeated his long term enemy, but he was very wrong. By killing Jesus he fell into a trap, a plan which was in the mind of the Father to save man from sin and release man from the power of Satan. 3. The battle continued in hell. Satan had the authority over anything that died in the earth (stolen from Adam), and because Jesus had died in the earth he was to be taken to hell. And when he entered hell, all odds were against him, the Holy Spirit had departed from him at Calvary( Mat 27:46), he went to hell by himself, without the help of heaven, he went there as a man. He went with the Authority of the seed of Abraham, not as the Son of God and brother he defeated Satan for the second time with lesser authority. Jesus defeated Satan as the Son of Man and not as the Son of God, and Satan had all the cohorts of hell gathered to fight against one man, and they all fell at his feet. How great is this Jesus, and after he defeated Satan, he took away all the keys of authority from him and gave it back to man. Everything that Adam lost was restored by Jesus. After three days and three nights, he walked out of the grave and the angel of death could not hold him back. Shame on you Satan, you were defeated by a man,
