The Mindset of Kings

A mind-set is a fixed mental disposition which predetermines how you will act in a given situation, be it negative or positive. It is the natural response you give based on the quality of your personality. Some people hear bad news and feel like it is the end of the world, whilst others hear the same news and say “I will overcome this”. When God wanted to raise the children of Israel after bringing them out of Egypt, He used Moses, because He needed somebody with a different mentality from what the children of Israel had. The children of Israel had the slave mentality, but Moses was different. He had been a prince in Pharaoh’s palace. You couldn’t take that away from him. Even though he had become a shepherd in the desert, he was a prince inside him; his mind-set was that of a prince. Kings remain Kings even when the circumstances of their lives contradict their position.

Two other Bible characters with a champion mind-set are Joshua and Caleb. Moses sent twelve spies to go spy out the land God had promised the children of Israel, this two didn’t deny that there were giants in the land. Howbeit, they saw the giants as “bread.”(Numbers 14:24). The other ten spies saw the same giants and said, “we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight” (Numbers 13:33). When you study the Word of God it will give you a different mind-set; the mind-set of Kings. You cannot afford to ignore the Word, you have to study it like your life depended on it, because it does. The Bible is the manual for life, the information on it will never expire because it is Anointed. Every time you study it, you will see something you did not see before.
