There’re three kinds of men the Bible talks about: the natural man, the new man, and the spiritual man.
1. The Natural Man.
The natural man measures life with his 5 senses, he is led by sense knowledge. He looks at how things are going and say, “this is how they will remain”, forgetting that the things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. 2 Corinthians 4:18 for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
2. The new man
The new man is one who’s born again; his spirit is recreated in the image of Christ Jesus. However, the new man isn’t all that God’s looking for. He wants the new man to become a spiritual man. Being born again is only the beginning of the life that God is calling us to. The new man is easily overwhelmed by circumstances and adversities of life, the spiritual man walks in dominion and has life under control. The Bible says spiritual babes, are in bondage to the elements of this world (Galatians 4:3), but the matured sons rule over the elements of this world.
3. The Spiritual Man
The spiritual man is one who has learned to listen to his spirit for answers, he evaluates and scrutinize everything with his spirit. “But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one” (1Corinthians 2:15 ). This man has learned to subject his senses to his spirit, he lives and measures everything from the realm of spirit. He has understood that no fruit exists independently, every fruit came from a tree which came from a root, and to deal with the fruit, he must first deal with root.
