This Jesus:

This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. Acts2:32-33

1. His Death

Imagine that there’s a guy who has been sentenced to death, but instead of him dying his friend says I will die in his place. This is how our salvation transpired; Jesus gave His life in our place so we could go free, he took our place of sin and gave us His righteousness. He, who knew no sin, was made the sin sacrifice for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21).

2. His Resurrection

The Bible lets us know that Jesus wasn’t only delivered on account of our sins, He was also raised for our justification (Romans 4:25. There’s a difference between justification and forgiveness. To be justified means “to be declared not guilty.” Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ is thus declared to have never sinned in the eyes of God, the Father who should judge your wrongdoing, is saying, “you didn’t do wrong”

3. His Ascension

After Jesus had completed the work he came to do on Earth, He didn’t vanish or disappear. He levitated from the ground and went up to heaven before the eyes of many witnesses. This proved that he indeed came from heaven. “After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going”(Acts 1:9).

4. His Sitting

Today Jesus is seated at the right hand of God (Colossians 3:1). The right of God means a place of Authority. The Father has given Him authority over all creation. Hallelujah! Today every creature in heaven, in the sea, in earth and under the earth or under the sea, bows to the name of Jesus.

5. His Second Coming.

We’re living in the last days before the return of the Lord Jesus Christ; it’s a generation that will bring to a close God’s dealings with the world as we know it. While the Lord Jesus was on earth, He warned His disciples of certain signs and events that would signify the end of the age and His second coming (Matthew 24). Today we can observe these signs all around us. We’re living in a very delicate time where there’s so much evil, deception, and crime
