In John 6:32-33, Jesus said, “….My Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.” Jesus explained to His disciples that the bread He was talking about was Himself: “I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world” (John 6:51).
In John 10:10, Jesus clearly explained his purpose for coming into the world, he said, “...I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” There are different kind of lives, there is the human life, the animal life and there is the God life. Human beings are born with the human life, but the Bible shows that this life is doomed for destruction because of Adam’s transgression. Jesus came to give us the God life, the life which is superior to death. Anyone who receives this life, shall live and not die, (John 11:25). Death for the Christian is optional, you die when you choose to, if you do not want to die, there is no demon in hell who has authority to take your soul. Jesus has overcome death, and to be born again means to be recreated in his image, and because of this truth we automatically overcame death.
